I guess everyone has their coming out party. Debutantes have theirs, Detroit has theirs, Politicians have theirs, but once in a while, a small fledgling company for all the right reasons has theirs. With diligence, passion, great products, hard work and a lil’ bit of luck, GuitarGuard, LLC has had their coming out party. Don’t get me wrong, we have been doing great, climbing up the sales ladder, making our brands stand out from the crowd, making sure that as musicians, we continue to develop cool and unique products for both the everyday player and the pro-musicians.

Plain and simple, we have been kicking ass, and look forward to continue doing so. In fact at this Summer’s show, we had unprecedented sales across the board.

Fast forward to Summer Namm,  and let me say that Summer Namm was GuitarGuard’s ball. It was our debutante ball. We came, we saw, we kicked ass!!!! It was awesome, i love the Namm community, the media, the press, the retailers, the buyers, the independents, the distributers, the consultants, etc. they were all great! Our products were received so well that at many times during the show we had groups or lines at our booth. A common comment was “why didn’t i think of that” (this is when you know you are onto something). While everybody is a fan of GuitarGuard’s  protective skins for your axe, the runaway bride was the NeverKink – Guitar & Bass CableClip. We were flat out blown away. Overwhelmed. It wasn’t a home run, it was a grand slam. A Denny’s grand slam. A moon over my-hammy. It was absolutely incredible. The orders were flying in, and it has not stopped there as they continue to come in form all over the world. We are simply humbled and blown away at the same time.

Keep an eye on this blog in the coming days as I should be making some really important announcements so don’t touch that dial and stay tuned.

    Thanks for the support….peace out.

LP – President GuitarGuard, LLC, NeverKink.com

Day 3 wrapped with NeverKink being recognized as a Best in Show product by the independent NAMM Panel. We want to thank everyone who attended the show an also the folks who run NAMM and Music Inc for considering us for such an honor.

We met some fantastic people: customers, buyers, large chain stores and independents. We forged great contacts with special distribution companies and we are excited to have a special announcement on the coming days about some great partnerships for GuitarGuard and NeverKink.

The show was a whirlwind, but it was AWESOME. We had a great time and it was out most successful show to date. We continue to focus on designing and distributing new, exciting an affordable products in the MI space.

I’ll post a more in depth review tomorrow as right now I’m wiped.

    Peace out.

Today was day 1 of 2009 Summer NAMM here in beautiful Nashville, TN. Started the day at 8am where I was a Panel Speaker on the state of the Music Industry.

That was fun. I ran to open the exhibit at 10am and proceeded to have great show.

I was on the cover of two magazines, spoke at the kick off event, sold the “s” out of our products and became a mini celeb for the day.

    It was awesome.

Thanks to the people at NAMM, Joe Lamond, Ken Wilson.

Also special thx to Jenny the photographer, Frank and John at Upbeat Daily for giving my mug some face time.

All’s well. Hitting Nashville’s Music Row tonight.

    I’ll report back tomorrow.

    Peace out.
    LP

P.S. Check out some great photos and video direct from NAMM on our Facebook page. We’ll be updating those throughout the weekend so become a fan to see it all.

I realize people who have not been holed up in our design bunker with us at GuitarGuard, may not know what NeverKink actually is or does, so here goes an explanation:

You know when you are playing Guitar or Bass, and You are ready to plug your instrument into your amp, you always look for a way to secure the Amp Cable  so that it doesn’t twist and turn and result in a damaged pots or worse a completely broken instrument, amp, or cable. Well NeverKink is a simple little device which solves that issue forever. NeverKink snaps directly onto your Strap, and  “voila” you now have a CableClip to confidently and securely manage your rig’s cable. It will not budge. Insert it as you wish, where you wish, and play with confidence! It will affix itself discretely into the patent pending NeverKink CableClip, and you never worry about it again. At GuitarGuard, LLC we have all worked very hard to make create a great cool product, in a timel;y fashion, and as important to do it in a way where we can have a “less than $5.00″ price point

    Mission Accoumplished!

We’d love to know what you think of it, so please check out our brief movie clip, and also you should see it pop up on our “product” section of the website soon. It also has it’s own web URL at www.NEVERKINK.com

Anyway, we are very excited about all our products, and we are committed to bringing inventive cool new products to the pro and amateur marketplace. As always, GuitarGuard keeps an eye on price and affordability, and are thrilled to be able to offer NeverKink CableClip with an MSRP just shy of 5 bucks!

As LP once said to me….Larry, Keep Picking  – Les Paul @ Iridium, NYC 2004

Good morning. I just wanted to report a great moment. I never slept last night as i could not put down a Martin D-28 with our new GuitarGuard fitting snug as a glove. It was awesome. Strumming, finger-picking, you name it. I could not stop playing, and I am so psyched to report that it sounds as good as it looks. It is comfortable. Playable. Looks Great. Sounds Great. I challenge anyone to “hear” a difference. I believe our engineers nailed this one. It was a challenge which i gave them, and while i cannot tell our trade secrets, i can say that we used a more porous, breathable material which i believ is perfoming a dual purpose. I believe it’s allowing the wood to breath, and also protecting it, but it seems like it’s helping push or funnel all the music out through the sound-hole. Engineering is a marvelous thing.

Anyway, have a great weekend, and happy Memorial Day. I was just so excited, i wanted to share.

I have been trying to post some pictures to this blog, but i cannot seem to get the fiile size small enough. Oh well. I’ll try again later. I will say, in trying to keep with the early WW1 tradition, we added some classic touches, like a hootenanny style cross stitch in an offsetting color. It looks very cool.

Anyway, again, have a happy holiday.
    Larry

Thanks for visiting our site, we make Protective Skins for your Guitars. We place “mucho” pride in the products we design and manufacure. We are musicians making products for musicians. While we are all very passionate about what we do, we also believe that necessity is the mother of all invention. Hence, GuitarGuard’s Protective Skins were born.

As a gigging NYC guitar player, i tired of the getting my Guitar kicked, knocked, spilled beer, you name it, thus GuitarGuard was brought to life and we sought out to create a product that would both offer a level of protection but as well enhance the Guitars natural beauty and most important preserving preserving it’s TONE.

We have aassumed control (RUSH 2112), having won numerous awards and been featured in many articles from Guitar blogs to current magazines, we refuse to rest on our laurels, so we took on the biggest challenge to date, and that was to create a GuitarGuard for the most classic Guitar of them all. the Grandaddy of them all. The Dreadnaught Acoustic. The classic Martin shape that’s been around since the first World War. I can happilly say, we have achieved our goal. We consulted with various sound engineers, and industrial designers to make an Acoustic GuitarGuard that preserved TONE. We wanted it to Ring Loud! We wanted the beauty of the acoustic guitar to shine through like a crazy diamond (Pink Floyd)

I can tell you about it all day, but proof is in the sound, comfort and playability, or as i am learning in this market, proof is in the purchase. So we are introducing the new line at Summer Namm in Nashville, and welcome anyone to try it and let us know what they think. Comfort, edgy, bold, all true…but tone. That was the key. Mission accomplished. In addition to our new Acoustic Model, we are proud to be introducing our Tele Line, as well we will be showing off our first non-GuitarGuard Protective Skin Product. This one’s a secret, but it is totally cool. Stay tuned.

Anyway, i just wanted to introduce ourselves, and let you into the world of GuitarGuard a bit. Our attitude is if we preserve Tone, Preserve Guitars, maybe we are making our small contribution by also preserving that Koa tree, that now stands tall in Hawaii, as it’s not getting chopped down for another new Koa guitar. It’s our Revolution. preserve Your Investment. Preserve Your Soul. Preserve Your Axe.Join us! Thanks Larry – CEO GuitarGuard
